If the following section doesn't answer your question, please contact our support team
Is Completions Manager
compliant with Microsoft Vista?
Yes, Completions Manager
Version 8 running with AutoCAD 2009 or AutoCAD 2010 is compliant with
Microsoft Vista and Windows 7.
Is Completions Manager
compliant with Citrix?
Yes, Completions Manager
Version 8 running with AutoCAD Map 3D is compliant with Citrix.
Can Completion Manager
diagrams store data for re-entry wells with the original section of the
wellbore and the new completion?
Yes, parts of an existing
well diagram can be retained and new components added to create a new
diagram.
Can Completion Manager
diagrams store data on dual completions with two or more sets of tubing
/ completion strings?
Yes, Completions
Manager™ can handle dual completions and also concentric
strings (e.g. velocity string completions).
Can Completions
Manager™ draw a diagram from a database, without user
intervention?
No, because we don't believe
the end
result would be acceptable. To depict a well as an easily recognizable
schematic, distortion of scale is needed. In addition, the
database-driven approach would not work for a significant proportion of
the more complex well types.
Can deviation surveys be
imported into Completions Manager™ and if so what mechanism
is used?
Yes, but this would require
an optional add-on (Import from External Database).
Can Completions
Manager™ diagram and store data on submersible pumps?
Yes, there are several
symbols for different ESP configurations. One of our clients is a major
supplier of ESP equipment.
How do we know if
Completions Manager™ has all the symbols / icons required for
our completions?
We will review a client's
wells prior to
delivery and ensure that the necessary symbols are present. In
addition, the annual support & maintenance option includes time
set
aside for creation of new symbols required by the client.
Are wellhead and xmas tree
components handled in the same way as downhole components in
Completions Manager™?
No, Xmas Trees and Wellheads
are pre-drawn
by Petrofocus according to client requirements, since some clients
require a high level of detail, whilst others want a more simple
diagrammatic representation.
What other software
products can
Completion Manager interface and exchange data with? We use Landmark's
DIMS product and would like to have Completions Manager™
exchange
data with it.
Diagrams can be copied and
pasted into
other Windows programs such as Word and PowerPoint. Drawings can also
be printed to Adobe PDF format and Autodesk's DWF format. Completions
Manager™ has an add-on option that can import data from Excel
spreadsheets (e.g. tubing tallies). Completions Manager™ can
also
import data from external databases such as DIMS using the optional
“Import from External Database?add-on.
Can we create symbols
ourselves?
You can draw temporary
symbols but these
would not have the characteristics of normal symbols (e.g. multiple
display options, automatic adjustment when erasing or inserting).
Petrofocus therefore recommend that symbol requirements are passed to
us and we would include them in the next update.
Can we store data for our
commonly used equipment and retrieve it when creating a new diagram?
Yes, you can save details
such as Size,
ID, OD, Drift etc. for each component type (safety valve, packer etc)
and then retrieve these values when you next insert that component.
